Readymix Concrete Supply and Collection Manchester
Welcome to Welslot's Ready Mix Concrete section. We have gained a great deal of experience over 30+ years of concrete supply. We supply all types of Readymix concrete out of our modern plant in Carrington for domestic and industrial use. If in doubt whether we can supply a concrete mix fit for your purpose simply drop us an email via the contact form on this website or call us on 0161 7776705; if it exists we have most likely done it before.
Whether you are laying a concrete foundation, building a house or simply need a screed mix we have the right product for you. Some of our products include:
Self-compacting concrete (SCC) is an innovative concrete that does not require vibration for placing and compaction. It is able to flow under its own weight, completely filling formwork and achieving full compaction, even in the presence of congested reinforcement. The hardened concrete is dense, homogeneous and has the same engineering properties and durability as traditional vibrated concrete.
Foamed concrete is a highly workable, low-density material which can incorporate up to 50% entrained air. It is generally self-leveling, self-compacting and may be pumped. Foamed concrete is ideal for filling redundant voids such as disused fuel tanks, sewer systems, pipelines, and culverts - particularly where access is difficult. It is a recognised medium for the reinstatement of temporary road trenches. Good thermal insulation properties make foamed concrete also suitable for sub-screeds and filling under-floor voids.
Fiber reinforced concrete (FRC) is concrete containing fibrous material which increases its structural integrity. It contains short discrete fibers that are uniformly distributed and randomly oriented. Fibers include steel fibers, glass fibers, synthetic fibers and natural fibers. Within these different fibers that character of fiber reinforced concrete changes with varying concretes, fiber materials, geometries, distribution, orientation and densities.
